| The
Remote Kroombit Tops Tour
(Tour 1)
Join
Kroombit guides on a full day tour
travelling by four wheel drive in
small personalised groups, to the
remote outback area of the Kroombit
Tops.
Take
in the breathtaking views of the escarpment
area which is 800 metres above sea
level.

Visit
the pre-historic looking patch of
rainforest where very little light
penetrates into an atmosphere or lush
stillness.

Added
to this tour is the most recent piece
of history, the sad story of a World
War II, B24 Liberater bomber, that
crashed into the escarpment one rainy
night in 1945 with the loss of all
on board.
So
dense and rough is the country, "Beautiful
Betsy" was not discovered until
1994.
|
You
will learn about the history of the
area as you travel through wide open
cattle country, old gold mine area,
and forestry before reaching the ever
changing landscape of this natural
area.

The
place de resistance is Kroombit Falls,
even in dry weather!
Hidden
behind a locked gate and a 500 metre
hike through bushland, the falls come
as a stunning surprise with spectacular
views down the Gorge.
